ITINERARIO

Day 1: Itinerary of the Super Sacred Valley 1 day

07:00 am. The pick up will be from your accommodation in Cusco, then continue to the Sacred Valley of the Incas Excursión in a mobility that you will share with other tourists, and depart on the Vilcanota River, where you can appreciate the typical Indian market that takes place on Tuesdays , Thursdays and Sundays, you can experience the customs of its inhabitants in the typical market, then we will visit the Ruins of Pisac and appreciate the beautiful landscape full of agricultural platforms, then we pass through Calca and Urubamba on the way to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions by the inhabitants of the jungle; It is made up of a series of superimposed terraces.

Chinchero is the best known of these three fascinating places and is usually part of the regular tours of the Sacred Valley, it is a town stopped in time, and like nowhere else you will be able to observe the living Andean culture, which has been dragging on even since the times of the incan. If there is something that attracts attention in Chinchero, it is without a doubt its main square, a beautiful combination between Inca and colonial architecture. Its temple is built on what was the palace of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, inside it contains beautiful works of art by notable indigenous painters of the Cusco school; It has the peculiarity that its bell tower is separated from the main structure of the church

Moray, definitely the Archaeological Complex of Moray, is a set of large structures located on a large plateau and that are a succession of concentric platforms that are introduced into it to a depth of 30 meters. These incredible bowls were used as experimental agricultural stations by the Incas.

Las Salineras de Maras is another of those places that you should not miss on your tour of the Sacred Valley. The more than 3000 saline pools that are excavated in the Qaqawiñay mountain at 3,380 m. high will surprise you. These salt mines are one of the 4 places in the world where you can find natural pink salt and depending on the time of day you dress the place, the white terraces of the salt mines take on beautiful tones that will be a delight for your eyes. As part of the experience you can take a handful of salt extracted by yourself. And if you want, you can buy bags with gourmet salt at the local souvenir shop.

Ollantaytambo: it is the most important and privileged place for the Incas and it joins two valleys of great importance, today this Ollantaytambo houses palaces, temples, houses and ceremonial fountains from the Inca period. Its architecture is the most amazing on a mountain peak that almost impossible to build but the Incas did it.

Pisac: set of agricultural terraces that served in its time to grow corn, tubers, quinoa, and kiwicha. etc. and it also houses very important palaces where you can see the temple of the sun and the inti watana.

In this area you can also see ceremonial sources, sectors of agriculture, houses, palaces of the hierarchy and tombs.
